Hi there,

here are some answers to frequently asked questions.

What is your pricing structure?

$160 for 55 minutes of individual therapy. If you’re facing a financial barrier to getting help, please contact me to see if I can help meet your needs.

Do you offer remote therapy sessions?

While my preference is to work with you in person at my Albany, California office, I do offer remote sessions if that works best for you. I am currently fully licensed in both California and Michigan.

Do you accept insurance?

I currently accept Aetna insurance plans in the state of California.

Many insurance companies will reimburse up to a certain amount when you submit a superbill from an Out-Of-Network (OON) provider. You can contact your insurance provider directly for information on your eligibility and reimbursement rates. I can provide a superbill upon request if you are seeing me at my full fee of $160 per individual session. Please know that insurance companies require a mental health diagnosis to be listed on superbills.

How often will we meet?

I find that meeting weekly at first is best in order to build a strong therapeutic relationship and progress toward goals in less time. However, many clients will often move to bi-weekly sessions when they are feeling better, or I may recommend bi-weekly sessions when I’m noticing significant progress. Frequency of sessions can be discussed more during a consultation with me depending on your specific needs!

What is your cancellation policy?

I maintain a 24 hour cancellation policy. If a client cancels within 24 hours of their scheduled appointment, they will be billed for the full session fee that was agreed upon prior to initiating therapy with me. This charge is not billable to insurance and must be paid out of pocket. I will make every effort to reschedule you during the same week if something urgent comes up, but I cannot guarantee that this will always be possible. Regular attendance is recommended to ensure continuity of services and to enhance the effectiveness of the therapy.

What is a Good Faith Estimate?

The No Surprises Act requires healthcare providers to provide clients who are not using insurance for services an estimate of the expected charges for medical services. You can request a “Good Faith Estimate” from me before scheduling your first appointment so that you know what your services may cost in advance.

If you have a question that isn’t answered here please don’t hesitate to reach out.
